Matthew Godman

Matthew Godman has experience both on the retail, multifamily and mixed-use. He is able to work with tenants, investors and developers. Previously Mr. Godman was a retail specialist at Cushman & Wakefield, Marcus & Millichap and a Financial Analyst at Faris Lee Investments. Matthew’s role is crucial to the success of valuating property cash flows and return on investments and evaluating markets. His vast experience in the multifamily asset management, acquisition and development contributes to the business models. He focuses on being well versed in all types of commercial real estate and seeing the various investment risks and opportunities.

He was part of the Credit Portfolio Strategies Group (CPSG) at Deutsche Bank AG. Actively managing complex Credit Debt Obligation (CDO) portfolios for hedge and risk purposes. Once transitioning from investment banking to commercial real estate he was focused on acquisitions for a private equity team at AmveStar Capital focusing on Class B/C assets. In his term there were over $100 million in assets acquired and $70 million in debt placement CMBS and construction debt. Mr. Godman helped analyze, manage due diligence, report return potentials to investor groups and oversee differed maintenance whilst building value to the projects.

Mr. Godman obtained his Graduate Degree in International Business Practices from St. Mary’s University College of Twickenham, in London, U.K, and his B.B.A. in Finance, with a concentration in Real Estate, from the University of North Florida. His hobbies include sailing, surfing, tennis, golf and swimming. You can catch him at Jazz Festival in New Orleans, visiting family on Florida’s East Coast or going to Dodgers game.
